Top 5 Baseball Movies
I stayed home today because of a nice case of poison ivy I am suffering through and ended up watching Bull Durham - which in turn caused me to ask on twitter which baseball movie is your favorite. I got quite the amount of feedback, with a lot of great movies, that I just had to make a top 5 list.
So here we go:
5. Brewter Millions - The funniest baseball movie out there - a classic movie in it’s own right. Great pairing of Richard Pryor & John Candy.
4. The Rookie - Dennis Quaid is great in this based on true story movie. I really love the story and some great heartstring tugging in this one.
3. Field of Dreams - My first of Kevin Costner basball films.
2. Bull Durham - My second of Kevin Costner baseball films - plus this one hits close to home being filmed in Durham and all. My dad is even in the audience for one of the crowd scenes.
1. The Natural - This movie is baseball. It really has that air of intrigue that baseball takes from it’s early days - this is, to me, what makes the sport untouchable as America’s pastime.
